As soon as you contact the firm, you will be informed of the methods used to determine the fees. The firm informs you regularly of the evolution of the amount of the fees as well as all the expenses, disbursements and emoluments which could be exposed.
In case of a mutual consent, a fee agreement is concluded between the lawyer and yourself. This agreement specifies, in particular, the amount or the method of determining the fees covering the foreseeable work, as well as the various costs and expenses envisaged.
The remuneration shall be based, in particular, on each of the following elements in accordance with the practices:
- the time spent on the case,
- research work,
- the nature and difficulty of the case,
- the importance of the interests involved,
- the impact of the firm's fees and charges,
- the client's financial situation.
- It is also possible to agree on a flat rate with the client.
Fees are paid in accordance with the law and regulations, in particular :
- in cash (up to 1.000,00 €),
- by check,
- by bank transfer,
- by billet à ordre,
- by credit card.

Nonetheless, a lawyer who accepts responsibility for a case may ask for an advance payment to be made in advance of his or her costs and fees.
This advance payment may not exceed a reasonable estimate of the probable fees and disbursements involved in the case.
